London-based contemporary womenswear label Kalayci London introduces the Go Gatsby collection. Inspired by the glitzy glamour of the 1920’s, the collection builds on the brand’s lavish style, showcasing bold pieces and reinvented classics for the seasons ahead.
Kalayci marries old-Hollywood silhouettes and classic cuts with innovative detailing, employing new techniques, contemporary materials, and luxurious embellishments to create a timeless yet glamorous collection for the modern woman.
Reviving Kalayci’s signature body-contouring shapes, the collection continues to celebrate the female form with seductive outlines, sumptuous gowns and flirtatious separates. Unconventional shapes feature exaggerated wide leg trousers with thigh-high splits, accentuated sleeving, and a new take on structured boning.
The gold detailing that has quickly become synonymous with the brand is further developed with the addition of a modern chain mail overlay and chain-link finishes, adding innovative new textures to the collection. Soft colourways of brushed metallics, fresh whites and romantic nudes also feature in bespoke handcrafted lace and crochet, burn-out velvet, crepe and, structured satins. Elaborate fringing and tasselling add a playful twist to the garments.
Hero pieces include the ultimate glam white floor length one-shoulder gown embellished with metallic gold trimming and dramatized with a thigh-high split; a white bias-cut silk and lace dress with delicate spaghetti straps; and nude-white burn-out velvet dress decorated with fringe detailing and a corsetry bodice.
